Why is Paytend secure?

At Paytend, your security is our top priority.

We use a three-layered security system to protect your account and personal data:

1. Secure Login

Your Paytend app is protected by either:

  • A username and password, or

  • Biometric login (fingerprint or face recognition), depending on your smartphone.

✅ Make sure to choose a strong password and never share your login details with anyone.

2. Confirmation PIN

To authorise actions like money transfers or device connections/disconnections, you’ll need a 6-digit Confirmation PIN.

  • You’ll set this PIN when you first connect your device.

  • You can change it anytime directly in the app.

3. Push Notifications & 3D Secure

  • You’ll receive real-time push notifications for every incoming and outgoing payment.

  • These alerts also help confirm and finalise transactions.

  • We also use 3D Secure for online card payments to protect you from card fraud.


Extra Account Protection

Whenever you contact us, we’ll ask security questions to verify your identity.

We will never ask for:

  • Your debit card number

  • Your CVV (3-digit code)

  • Your password

  • Your Confirmation PIN


Data Protection

We take data privacy seriously:

  • We collect only the information we need and keep it only as long as required by law.

  • Once your data is no longer needed, we delete it securely.

  • You can download your personal data for up to 6 months after closing your account.
